The Varaždin City Museum initiated and organized the circular multimedia exhibition "Discovering painting secrets - InfraredArt" by Dijana Nazor in five cities, in cooperation with four other museums - the Museum of the City of Koprivnica (2019/2020), the Museum of Croata insulanus of the City of Prelog (2020) , the Trakošćan Palace (2021) and the Mimar Museum.

The first exhibition was opened in the Sermage Palace on 11 September 2019.

The exhibition came through thanks to the excellent organization of Varaždin City Museum, the museum advisor Mirjana Dučakijević and senior curator Elizabeta Igrec. It was opened by the museum director, Ivan Mesek.

Iva Körbler, an art historian and art critic, presented the exhibition and wrote in the catalogue foreword:
'Undoubtedly, this new method opens up crative potentials in painting that cannot be achieved by conventional techniques, thus the artist continues her future research with exactly this new method. The result is equally astonishing as we have in front of us paintings with two faces, fables and messages, not only faces and viewpoints that we show to the public and/or carry in the intimacy of our home, but also a clear indication of how we live immersed in a multidimensional reality. Almost everything around us is abundant in double codes, faces and backs, broken fragments of reality (...) Everything that she percieves around her emotionally and mentally, Dijana Nazor has merged with authentic scientific practice and methodology, remaining in the field of artistic charge.'

And while the works have already been presented as part of various displays and exhibitions, at this exhibition in the Sermage Palace, the triptych "Labyrinth of Friendship" was shown for the first time as the beginning of a new cycle of black paintings, in which the author began to explore the relationship between monochromatic, black tones in 2020 in the visual spectrum and IR images.

Although completely black paintings have already been seen before, the part of the painting invisible to the naked eye hides the unexpected. At first sight, the monochromatic painting does not show any movement, but the invisible painting hides a labyrinth.

The screen shows several animations of paintings from the visual into the infrared range at 1000 nm.

The exhibitions from all five museums are assembled in 56 pages of a joint catalogue, edited by Elizabeta Igrec, senior curator of the Art Gallery of Varaždin City Museum.

Together with Dijana, the author of the exhibits, Elizabeta prepared the exhibition setup, while Ksenija Novak, Marko Stančin and Slavko Stančin were the technical support. Jurica Škudar and Dijana Nazor prepared the photographs for the catalogue. The photographers at the opening were Iva Lulić and Andrej Švoger.

As part of the exhibition, the painting "Adrienna Ožegović", 19th century, by an unknown artist from the holdings of the Varaždin City Museum, is on display. On it, during the conservation-restoration in 2018, Dijana accidentally performed an invisible retouch in the near-infrared area on the damaged areas of the painted layer and preparation. Thus, the thesis, which she dealt with in her doctoral thesis, was confirmed in this picture.
