Dijana Nazor Čorda was born in 1971 in Split. In 2017, she finished her PhD at the doctoral programme Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb, dissertation topic Paintings in the Infrared Spectrum: Postponing the Visible mentored by full professor Igor Rončević and associate professor Jana Žiljak Gršić. In 1995, Dijana graduated from the then Faculty of Science and Pedagogy in Split, today the Arts Academy, and acquired the title of art teacher and conservator-restorer. In the same year, she received the Dean’s Award. 

In 1990, she obtained a high school diploma from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Split. Since 1995, she has exhibited at 42 solo exhibitions in Croatia, Belgium and Australia. Since 1993, she has participated in over 100 juried group exhibitions in the country and abroad. In 2006, she took up a two-month residency in Paris, in the studios Cité Internationale des Arts. Her paintings can be found in several holdings of Croatian museums and private collections. She is the author of ten visual arts and urban installations, as well as two events at the International Street Festival Cest is d’Best. As of 2007, she has been heading the art programme of the Festival and has been managing three projects: the International Festival of Art Flags, the Festival of Art Stickers Art Walk and Cest klupaonica. She was the co-author and host of the Cest Best Photograph Cest od 2009. do 2015. Suvoditeljica je i dječjeg programa istog festivala od 2013. do 2020. Umjetnička je direktorica Festivala umjetničkih zastavica Zagreb (FUZZ) od 2020. do 2021. godine. Sudjelovala je na 42 likovne kolonije u Hrvatskoj i Bosni i Hercegovini.

She co-authored two textbooks Pogled, potez (Observe, Draw)for primary school grades 5 to 8, published by Profil, Zagreb, and two teacher’s books with a CD for art teachers in school years 2007/2008 and 2013/2014. She co-authored a ninth textbook entitled Opažam, oblikujem 5 (I Perceive, I Shape), a handbook for art teachers and interactive, visual arts content on the digital education platform IZZI, Zagreb, Profil Klett 2019. The textbook was awarded with a special jury award BELMA as the best textbook in Europe at the international Frankfurt Book Fair.

Dijana has won numerous awards, recognitions and commendations for her artistic work. For her contribution to art and pedagogical work, she was presented with two state awards: the Annual National Award Ivan Filipović in 2012, and she was decorated with the Order of Danica Hrvatska with the figure of Antun Radić in 2013. In 2013, she was awarded with the AFIAP distinction by the International Federation of Photographic Art. Dijana has had several research and professional papers published, and she participated in several national and international conferences. She has been a member of the Croatian Association of Visual Artists (HDLU), Zagreb, since 1998, of InSEA (International Society for Education through Art) since 2006, Photo Club Zagreb in the period 2003–2011, of the Croatian Heraldic and Vexillological Association since 2017, HULULK since 2018, and the Infra Group since 2019. She lives and works in Zagreb.
